We Are
That's right, a truly secular history curriculum.
We believe everyone has a place at the table when it comes to telling history. We teach the role of religion in history, but do not teach (or preach) from a religious worldview.
We Are
We teach history from a truly global, non-Eurocentric perspective. We believe everyone's history deserves to be told. We also work hard to include the contributions of women and traditionally underrepresented groups.
We Are
We are designed by and for neurodivergent learners. Accommodations for neurodivergent learners are core to our approach, not afterthoughts. From audiobooks to Minecraft integration to writing modifications and more we aim to help your neurodivergent learner thrive.
We Are
We offer a variety of expansion materials to appeal to the needs and interests of many different learners. Our curriculum is designed to be scalable so you can easily choose which materials suit your family.
We Are
We write for a broad age-range to accommodate family-style learning. The difficulty of our books increases with each level, so your child can grow with our books.
The targeted age-range of each book is listed on our About page, but our books are content-rich enough to engage learners of many levels. In fact, many parents have told us they've learned a good bit while reading our books!
We Are
The wars, battles, and empires of history are important, but there's a whole lot more to history! Art, science, music, dance, mathematics, architecture, and philosophy are all critical components to what makes us human. We explore cultural history as well as political history to create an in-depth history experience that celebrates all types of human achievement.

With Curiosity Chronicles your child will:
Learn to discuss complex ideas
Our books are written as a back-and-forth dialogue between our main characters, Mona and Ted. The dialogue format allows us to present alternative views and competing historical facts. It allows us to discuss the role of often underrepresented people who are ignored by narrative-heavy history. The dialogue also allows Ted and Mona to break down complex ideas piece by piece. This not only makes complex ideas accessible but it also models for students how to discuss complex ideas.
Develop critical thinking skills
Students will learn not only what happened in history but also why those events happened. Students will learn the building blocks of human societies and how one change often leads to another. With Mona and Ted as their guides, students will learn to analyze events and apply those skills to new situations.
Engage in hands-on learning
The learning doesn't stop when the chapter is over. Our activity guides include map work, timelines, supplemental reading, art projects, science projects, research projects, recipes, Minecraft building prompts, review activities, and more to ensure your student will be able to expand and build upon their learning in a meaningful way. We also have lapbooks and interactive notebooks for even more expanded learning.
Make Interdisciplinary Connections
Our chapters often open the door to tangential and cross-subject learning. Is your child learning about place value in math? Our chapter about the Maya in Snapshots of Ancient History explores exactly what place value is and why it's so important. Learning about germs in science class? Our chapter on the Islamic Golden Age in Snapshots of Medieval History discusses the origins of germ theory and why it mattered. Looking for even more learning? Each chapter is followed by a "Want to know more?" box with suggested topics for further study.
Learn Cultural History
Curiosity Chronicles takes an interdisciplinary approach to history. Your child will learn the history of art, music, science, philosophy, and more. Children won't just learn that the Renaissance happened, they'll learn its cultural and artistic significance. We take a holistic view of art and culture, covering the accomplishments of people across the world, rather than focusing only on European "fine arts." We also cover the social movements of the modern era including women's rights, civil rights, and more.

My 10 year old fifth grader and I are halfway through Medieval History and completed Ancient History last school year. I can say that I have honestly learned just as much as my kid, as this history is honest, it doesn’t hold back facts that would put specific groups of people in good or bad light, and focuses on a whole world approach instead of everything being told from a white European perspective. I’ve also discovered many “facts” I learned in history as a student are either skewed or just completely wrong! The list of books for extra reading, the suggestions for further study, the activities, and the projects make it all more in depth and sticks with my learner in an impressive way. Especially the Minecraft builds lol.
We both look forward to doing our lesson every week, have never been bored, and my younger learner is excited to start her own history journey with Ancient History next year! Not to mention the excellent approach of converstation dialogue gives my dyslexic learner extra reading practice as we take turns being Mona or Ted and reading aloud. I simply can’t recommend or praise this curriculum enough.

We are wrapping up our first year of history! Ancient history with @curiositychroniclescurriculum has been awesome! I am so excited to move on to Medieval times.
If you aren’t familiar with Curiosity Chronicles I suggest you check it out ASAP. This is a non Euro Centric secular curriculum that shares snapshots of history.

When you have kiddos with special needs it’s can be difficult to find a program that addresses their various learning styles…Curiosity Chronicles does just that.
The multi-sensory approach takes vastly different avenues and includes activities that explores history through an expansive worldview; truly connecting them with an enriching history education. They are not only able to see, hear, and learn from the deeper focus of innovation and discovery…but also, the author is conscious of the kids of today’s main interest and meets them where they are at. For example, every chapter includes Minecraft challenges! Such combinations are truly unheard of and it has become a center point of our homeschool days and rhythm.

First time homeschoolers here! Being that this is our first year, I really wanted something that was easy to understand, walked me through everything for my child, and something secular. I am loving Curiosity Chronicles so far. I do recommend just buying it all. The books, the activities, lapbooks, timleline kit, etc. I’ve found myself wishing I purchased something or the other and ended up buying it separately . The books are easy to understand and heck even I have learned a thing or two.
